The Schwings Band

The Schwings Band is a vintage jazz, swing, and New Orleans jazz ensemble. The group was formed in 2011 in Vilnius by the well-known Lithuanian jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist Remigijus Rančys.
The ensemble quickly became popular in local Lithuanian jazz festivals, clubs, and jazz dance scenes. Since 2013, The Schwings Band has been performing on international stages. Over the past few years, the group has performed in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Greece, Poland, Estonia, Finland, and Sweden.
In 2019, the group's albums "Teisutis" and "Fyodor" became bestsellers in the jazz/swing genre category on the music recording platform Bandcamp. An interesting fact is that according to Spotify statistics, The Schwings Band's main listeners are not from Lithuania but from jazz lovers in the USA, Germany, and Italy.
The Schwings Band's music is as contrasting as Lithuanian seasons – it can sound summery hot, autumnally melancholic, wintry mournful, and spring joyous.
