The Lithuanian Jazz Union announces the selection of tracks for its annual compilation Jazz From Lithuania. Traditionally, an international independent commission will select tracks for the album in a blind manner (without knowing the names of the performers and tracks) to represent Lithuanian jazz at the AGATA Music Hall, Jazzahead! fair, and other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can submit your works and required information until September 28 (inclusive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One or two works (no more) reflecting different characters or means of expression may be submitted to the competition. One work will be selected for the compilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entries submitted to the competition must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The works must be published in the second half of 2024 \u2013 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The work is presented in .wav format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Duration of the work \u2013 up to 8 minutes (recommended \u2013 6 minutes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The creator or group provides the title of the work and a description of the group\/performer in Lithuanian and English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. A link to the author\/group's creative profile (website, YouTube, Facebook, Bandcamp, Spotify, etc.) is provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. A representative photo of the performer or group is provided.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    All submissions must be uploaded to a single Google Drive folder, and a link to it must be provided in the application. The folder must contain: the work (in .wav format, preferably without metadata), a photo, a text file with the title of the work, a description (in Lithuanian\/English), and links to creative profiles. Preference will be given to previously released works that are part of a specific album. Works from an album that already has another work in the collection are not eligible for selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
