The largest gathering in the jazz industry and the annual showcase festival and conference Jazzahead! is approaching. The Baltic countries have united their forces for the first time for the Baltic Clubnight event. Lithuania will be represented by Weird Ugly Fish duo (Keista Bjauri Žuvis). The CLUBNIGHT jazz night, which takes place on Friday evening, features approximately 35 concert venues each year. Clubs, bars, theaters, museums, churches, and hotels become lively spots for music.
The joint representation at the jazzahead! is coordinated by partners from three Baltic countries - Lithuanian Jazz Union (Lithuania), Music Estonia and the Estonian Jazz Union (Estonia) and Latvian Music Information Centre (Latvia).
Lithuanian Jazz Union’s aim is to promote Lithuanian jazz internationally, create new export opportunities for Lithuanian jazz musicians and expand Jazz Unions’s network in the context of Baltic region. Partners of the CLUBNIGHT program include Zentrum für Kunst (ZkR) and Senatskanzlei Bremen (Bremen City Government). The CLUBNIGHT Baltic Night is part of the 40th anniversary of the partnership between Riga and Bremen.
