Born in Lithuania and groomed by the New York jazz scene, VIK GEČYTĖ is a worthy heir to the American jazz tradition and a class act on stage. She’s admired by fans and critics alike for her refined phrasing, conversational delivery, and contagious swing. Her scatting is effortless, her poise enchanting. In Paris since 2008, Vik leads jazz and blues projects and performs regularly with big bands. The Frankfurt Radio Big Band had invited her to represent Lithuanian jazz for two consecutive years in Germany, in 2018 and 2019. Vik is among the laureates of the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition 2019. In 2020 & 2021, her songs were selected to the jazz-of-the-year albums by the Lithuanian Jazz Federation. One of her key musical partners over the years has been Gene Perla, veteran American bassist, formerly with Elvin Jones, Sonny Rollins, Nina Simone, and Sarah Vaughan. Their latest record “IN THE MOMENT” (P.M. Records, 2020) features on-the-road sessions with veteran and up-and-coming musicians between New York and Paris. 

NICHOLAS THOMAS is an Italian vibraphonist, composer, and band leader. He’s been following masterclasses with Barry Harris for years and has recently released a record with compositions of his idol Hank Jones, with Vik featured on one of the tracks. He’s been performing and touring with Joe Magnarelli, Jorge Rossy, Alain Jean-Marie, Frank Basile and Luigi Grasso.

PETER GIRON is an American bassist and educator. He started his musical career at 16 playing in various Broadway, Motown, jazz and Latin groups in the US, later toured the world with American Blues Hall-of-Fame guitarist Luther Allison. Since moving to France in 1994, he has been playing and recording with Rick Margitza, Kurt Elling, Steve Turre, and Ernie

French drummer MOURAD BENHAMMOU has been accompanying major French musicians and international veterans, such Bobby Few, Cedar Walton, David Murray, and Lew Tabackin, at premier venues and festivals worldwide since the 90’s. He is also a jazz erudite and collector.
