This year, for the first time, the M.A.M.A. awards will introduce theJazz of the Yearnomination and award! Registration for candidates is now open. The Jazz of the Year nomination is intended to recognize the most significant jazz music release during the specified evaluation period. The nomination highlights the creativity, professionalism, continuity, and international relevance of the Lithuanian jazz scene.

Who can participate?

• Bands / jazz artists who during 2024-12-01 – 2025-11-30 period released a jazz album or EP either in physical form or on at least one of the digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pakartot.lt) 
• Jazz musicians who have participated in at least three jazz club and/or Lithuanian jazz festival programs advertised on the LDF website https://jazzlt.lt/dziazo-klubai/ over the past five years.
• Groups consisting of at least 50% Lithuanian musicians and/or the group leader (songwriter or band leader) is Lithuanian. The release must be clearly associated with the Lithuanian jazz or improvisational music scene. 
• When registering, you must provide a web link to listen to the album.
