We invite jazz musicians to register and join the Lithuanian Jazz Union (LJU) stand at the Muzikos salė (Book Fair 2025) organised by AGATA from 27 February to 2 March 2025.
Registration for the LJU stand is open until 10 November (like AGATA's registration for its own stand).
You can register for the LJU stand by filling in this form: https://forms.gle/a94GEHutfi9UNmva7
The stand is intended to represent the Lithuanian jazz community. As always, the LDF will distribute the music of all jazz bands that wish to distribute their music publications. There is no need to register, just present your albums to the LJU and agree to the terms and conditions set by the LJU.
In addition, 4 to 6 registered groups will have the opportunity to become "focus" groups. This means that they will have the right to be permanently present at the stand and to offer, promote and disseminate their publications directly. They will also be positioned in the stand's visuals and through the LJU's channels.
What does the LJU offer to groups that have registered and passed the selection process?
- a cosy corner at the LJU stand,
- a chance to interact directly with album buyers,
- The LJU will take care of the design of the stand, which will include the name of the selected group, a photo and a mini description,
- publicity through LDF channels,
- one participation card and 2 one-off invitations to the Book Fair.
What do we expect from you?
- Fair, respectful and responsible sharing of the stand's area,
- friendly and active interaction with colleagues and music buyers,
- responsible and punctual presentation of the necessary information for stand decoration,
- a participation fee of €120.
How is this registration different from the AGATA registration?
AGATA registration gives you the opportunity to have your own stand, which you can decorate according to your wishes and possibilities. However, AGATA does have its own selection process and jazz musicians compete with more established artists and organisations in other music.
Therefore, by mutual agreement with AGATA, the LJU gets the opportunity to present a limited number of "focus" jazz musicians, thus giving them a cheaper participation (without having to pay for the decoration of the stand), less competition for the selection of the stand, and giving more jazz musicians the opportunity to showcase their work in the Muzikos salė.
Priority for LDF selection will be given to groups:
- that have released a physical copy of a new album in 2024/2025,
- all members of the band are members of the Lithuanian Jazz Union,
- who agree to the LJU stand design and the terms and conditions for sharing the stand.
