Duck Saved Jones is an experimental jazz trio, born in 2023.The three talented musicians crossed paths while studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Pianist Andrius Savčenko, bassist Artūrs Duckis and drummer Dovydas Jonas Šulskis have been playing together as a rhythm section for a long time in various projects in Lithuania and Western Europe. However, as they embarked on an improvisational experiment, they realised that something special was happening between them - and so Duck Saved Jones was born.

Initially, the group had no clear direction or genre frame - it was just a musical space for exploration. But it was this freedom, the refusal to limit themselves to a single style or concept, that led to a unique, dynamic fusion that blends jazz, hip hop rhythms, layers of electronica and an urban aesthetic.

Duck Saved Jones' music is an experimental fusion of jazz and electronica with elements of hip hop, R&B and dance music. The trio's sound vibrates between improvisation and structured compositions, between the liveliness of acoustic instruments and the spatial textures created by synthesizers, a volatile soundscape that is constantly changing in real time depending on the atmosphere, the space and the energy of the audience.

The musicians deliberately refuse boundaries between different genres in their work, instead exploring sound colours, emotions and atmospheres. Some tracks are dominated by trap-inspired drum rhythms, others are permeated by soul and jazz harmonies, and some feature unexpected experimental sound collages reminiscent of lo-fi aesthetics.

Duck Saved Jones' music is the soundtrack of city life, fusing urban energy with introspective melancholy. The bustle of the city, the rhythm of the subway, the noise of the streets, but also the breathing of nature, the flow of the river, the gusts of the wind, all become an organic sonic experience in which each listener can discover his or her own individual story.

Although Duck Saved Jones is a relatively young band, each of its members has already made a name for themselves on the Lithuanian and international scene.
- Pianist Andrius Savčenko has appeared at festivals such as the Trondheim Jazz Festival and Canarias Jazz, where he has won recognition for his expressive sound and creative versatility.
- Bassist Artūrs Duckis is active in the jazz and pop music scenes, bringing his unique rhythmic sensibility and harmonic vision.
- Drummer Dovydas Jonas Šulskis, winner of Tamsta Drumday'23, has also played at the prestigious festivals Vilnius Mama Jazz and Vilnius Jazz, and is an active member of the Lithuanian Jazz Federation.

Since its formation, Duck Saved Jones has participated in festivals such as Vilnius Mama Jazz, Kretinga Jazz, Vilnius Jazz, and Ži Recommends pre-fest.

As Duck Saved Jones is a young band, their debut album is still in the making. However, the band is already working in the studio, experimenting with new ideas and preparing to release their first recordings, which will reflect their bold and free creative vision.

In the meantime, listeners can enjoy the band's live performances, where each track sounds different - the music is constantly transforming, taking on new forms and adapting to the atmosphere of the moment.

Duck Saved Jones is a trio that unpredictably combines improvisational jazz with hip hop rhythms and electronic aesthetics to create a contemporary, lively and ever-changing sound world. Their music is an invitation to immerse oneself in a sonic journey where each listener can discover their own rhythm and their own story.
